DURABILITY – SUSTAINABILITY – GREEN BUILDING
Crystalline waterproofing is a German technology and is considered one of the modern ways to waterproof and protect the entire concrete, where the material forms nanocrystals to fill and close the voids and pores inside the concrete which make it impermeable. These nanocrystals are active throughout the life span of the concrete to prevent ingress of water, chemicals, salts, and other corrosive agents Thus, it increases the life of the concrete.
Crystalline waterproofing technology enhances the overall performance and lifespan of concrete by protecting it from seawater, sewage, groundwater, and many other chemicals that cause concrete deterioration. As well as It is also non-toxic when in contact with drinking water, and environmentally friendly.
Crystalline waterproofing technology is used for fully protect against corrosion of concrete, such as building basements, water tanks, tunnels, dams, bridges, marine structures, foundations, infrastructure, swimming pools, concrete pipelines, waste treatment facilities, etc.
Crystalline waterproofing admixture products are environmentally friendly and come in powder form that is added to the new concrete during mixing. Once the concrete is poured, it prevents water penetration by self-healing microcracks, pores, and voids. The active material of crystalline admixture reacts with the cement in the concrete by forming nanocrystals deeply in the capillary pores and cracks of concrete structures. These nanocrystals are non-soluble and active for the life of the concrete, which protects the entire concrete structure in depth against the ingress of water, chemicals, salts, and other corrosive agents penetrating, even in the presence of high hydrostatic pressure, at both above and below ground level, positive or negative side of the concrete.
The crystalline admixture provides projects with a significantly shortened construction schedule, durability, and sustainability for the concrete structure by protecting steel reinforcement from corrosion and rust. As well as has the ability to self-heal and seal cracks that develop during the lifetime of the concrete and greatly reduces the cost of building maintenance.
Crystalline waterproofing coating is applied to the concrete surface by brush, spray, and dry shake. The active material penetrates deeply into the concrete pores and attacks water by reacting with cement and forming non-soluble nanocrystals that self-healing microcracks, pores, and voids permanently. These nanocrystals active for the life of the concrete, which waterproof and protect the entire concrete structure in depth against the ingress of water, chemicals, salts, and other corrosive agents penetrating, even in the presence of high hydrostatic pressure, at both above and below ground level, positive or negative side of the concrete.
After self-healing all voids and micro-cracks by nanocrystals, the concrete structure becomes impermeable, as water, salts, or chemicals can no longer pass or penetrate into the concrete. Cracks that develop during the lifetime of the concrete are self-healed by crystalline technology, resulting in permanent concrete protection.
Crystalline waterproofing coating is applied to concrete surfaces new or old and the waterproofing properties remain intact, even if the paint is partially removed or small cracks appear after application, it is also suitable for use in water tanks and water treatment plants.
and seals capillary tracts and cracks in concrete up to 500 microns in width
nontoxic,
once the concrete is treated by Crystalline coat or Admixture the crystals remain active and part of the concrete for life
does not come apart at the seams, tear or puncture; increases compressive strength of concrete
becomes an integral part of the concrete and reduces permeability; waterproofing, chemical resistance and other enhanced concrete properties remain intact even after surface damage
can be applied to either new or existing concrete as a coating (from the positive or negative side), as a dry-shake to horizontal surfaces or as an admixture at the time of batching
greatly reduces permeability, allowing concrete to resist chemical attack and provides a wide range of protection from, corrosion, aggressive groundwater, seawater, carbonates, and others
sold and applied through a trained and authorized network of distributors and applicators.
This technology enhances the waterproofing and durability of concrete by plugging and filling capillaries, pores, cracks, micro-cracks, and any voids with an insoluble, highly resistant crystalline formation. The waterproofing effect is based on two simple reactions, one chemical and one physical. Concrete is chemical in nature. When a cement particle hydrates, the reaction between water and the cement causes it to become a hard, solid mass. The reaction also generates inert by-products in the concrete. Crystalline waterproofing adds another set of chemicals to the mixture. When these two chemical groups, the by-products of cement hydration and the crystalline chemicals, are brought together in the presence of moisture, a chemical reaction occurs. The end result of this reaction is a non-soluble crystalline structure.
Concrete gets cracked at various points over its lifespan which makes it relatively simple for water to sneak in through pores and tiny cracks.
Concrete cavities and fractures are thoroughly invaded by the crystalline's active treatment.
The crystalline material active ingredients react with cement and self-heling the cracks and voids of the concrete by forming nanocrystals. This crystalline growth takes place deep inside the concrete structure.
These nanocrystals are non-soluble and active for the life of the concrete, which protects the concrete in depth against the ingress of water and other corrosive agents penetrating.
The crystalline components are motionless when there isn't any water present. The sealing process immediately continues and moves deeper into the concrete if moisture ever reappears.
After the process of self-healing all voids and cracks by nanocrystals the concrete structure becomes impermeable, as water, salts or chemicals can no longer pass or penetrate into the concrete.
